Two Lindenhurst men were arrested early Tuesday for allegedly snatching delivered packages from the front of Lindenhurst homes.

Colby Fiedler, 19, and Vincenzo Francese, 19, were found at Fiedler's home at 5 p.m. -- along with five different packages delivered by UPS and the U.S. Postal Service to various Lindenhurst addresses, police said.

In the past three weeks, several homeowners had reported packages missing, and one home surveillance video showed a silver four-door car in the area, police said. Another nearby victim saw a similar vehicle on Tuesday and reported it to police.

Both men were charged with three counts of criminal possession of stolen property. Francese was also charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance.

They were released with appearance tickets and scheduled to be arraigned Feb. 27 at First District Court in Central Islip.
