Two drivers were hospitalized with minor injuries, and a third driver escaped injury, in a three-vehicle crash Tuesday morning on westbound Sunrise Highway on the Brookhaven-Yaphank border, Suffolk County police said.

The crash occurred near Exit 57 at 7:36 a.m., police said.

Police said a Ford sedan rear-ended a Toyota pickup truck, which then struck a Volvo sport utility vehicle. The Toyota then struck a median guardrail, according to police.

Police said the driver of the Ford, a 20-year-old man, was not injured.

Police said the driver of the Volvo, a 38-year-old woman, was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of minor injuries; the Toyota’s driver, a 47-year-old woman, was taken to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue. She also had minor injuries, police said.
