2 hurt, 1 seriously, in crash on Route 110 in Melville, cops say

Two people were injured, one seriously, in a two-car accident that closed all southbound lanes of Route 110 in Melville for several hours on Tuesday morning, officials said.
The accident at Duryea Road was reported shortly after 7 a.m., and police and fire units rushed to the scene, officials said.
The southbound lanes reopened at about noon, Suffolk County police said.
Additional details were not immediately available.
