A car crashed into a CVS store in Riverhead Sunday night, injuring two people, Riverhead police said.

The crash occurred about 6 p.m. at a CVS on Route 25A near Wading River Road.

Riverhead police said a 1997 Mercury operated by Ronald Kucinski, 78, crashed into the building and went through the front doors. Kucinski's wife, Joan, 74, suffered minor injuries from debris from the collision, according to police, who added that both she and her husband were taken to Stony Brook University Hospital with minor injuries.
