2 infants treated for carbon monoxide poisoning

Two women and two infants, overcome by carbon monoxide Wednesday night in Brentwood, were taken to Southside Hospital in good condition, Suffolk County police said.

The incident at the residence on Broadway was reported at about 7:30 p.m., police said.

The cause of the carbon monoxide poisoning was not immediately clear, police said. Police said it also was not immediately known who contacted 911 to report the incident -- or how the victims were discovered.

No further details were immediately available Thursday.
