A 73-year-old East Patchogue woman was critically injured last night when her car collided with another at Sills Road and Gazzola Drive in her hometown, Suffolk police said, adding that the crash also injured a 23-year-old man.
Anna Sazinger was taken by South Country Ambulance to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center with head and internal injuries after the 6:20 p.m. crash with a car driven by Paul Fahner, also of East Patchogue.
He suffered a broken leg, detectives said.
Investigators said the accident occurred as Sazinger, who was driving south on Sills Road, tried to make a left turn onto Gazzola Drive.
Her car struck Fahner's vehicle, which was traveling north on Sills.
Detectives ask anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact the Fifth Squad at 631-854-8552. All calls will remain confidential.
