Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Southampton Town police are searching for two people who burglarized an East Quogue restaurant earlier this month.
Police on Tuesday released photographs of the suspects who on May 5 took a cash register from the China Delight restaurant at 471 Montauk Hwy. The photos were taken from video surveillance at the restaurant.
Police said the two suspects -- a man and a woman both about 25 years old -- entered the restaurant illegally at about 12:30 a.m. and took the register, which contained about $550.
The woman had a star tattoo between the thumb and index finger on her left hand, police said.
A photograph of a similar tattoo also was released by police.
Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-8477. All calls will be kept confidential.
