Three men were arrested early Friday morning after Suffolk County Police said they burglarized several Rocky Point homes.

Michael Diebel, 18, Joseph Manginello, 25, both of Rocky Point, and Damien Beeker, 26, of Ronkonkoma broke into four homes, starting on Thanksgiving afternoon and continuing into the night, police said.

The trio was attempting to break into a fifth house when officers arrested them Friday morning nearby Westchester Drive, Suffolk Det. Sgt. John Best said.

A resident contacted police at around 4:45 a.m. Friday and reported hearing glass break and seeing people acting suspiciously in the area of Westchester Drive, police said.

When officers arrived, they arrested two of the men in the area. The third suspect was taken into custody while he was waiting in a vehicle a short distance away, police said, adding that the trio are responsible for burglaries early Friday morning on Odin Road, Nautilus Road, and Freya Road.

Proceeds from the break-ins included assorted jewelry, about $4,500 worth of power tools, and some alcohol, beer and wine, Best said.

The men, who were being held overnight Friday, are scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Saturday.

Police are asking anyone who may have information about the break-ins to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls remain anonymous.
