A Mastic Beach Fire Department emergency responder and at least two other people were transported to local hospitals with minor injuries after an EMS sport utility vehicle was involved in a crash while responding to a call Monday morning, officials said.

The accident occurred on Neighborhood Road, in front of Mastic Beach Village Hall, at 10:10 a.m.

Suffolk County police said that after being involved in a collision with a Toyota, the SUV may have been struck by a second vehicle — then careened into a bench, striking someone sitting there. All injuries were minor, police said.

Photos from the scene show the EMS SUV with front-end damage and show the Toyota with front-end damage, as well. Police said the EMT and a passenger in the EMS SUV were injured, as was the person on the bench.

No one was charged in the crash.

Police said the vehicles were later towed.
