A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries in a crash with a car on April 23 in Deer Park, Suffolk County police said.

Jessie Palacios, 23, of Deer Park, was driving east on Grand Boulevard around 6:50 p.m., when he tried to turn right onto Deer Park Avenue and struck a Toyota Camry, police said. The Camry was making a U-turn on northbound Deer Park Avenue, police said. The Camry did not yield to oncoming traffic, which had the right of way, according to a Suffolk police report.

Palacios was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip.

The car’s driver, Carlos Polo, 56, of North Babylon, and his passenger were taken to Good Samaritan with nonlife-threatening injuries, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call First Squad detectives at 631-854-8152.
