The winning ticket for the Mega Millions lottery jackpot worth $319 million was purchased at a variety store in Albany, a state lottery official said Saturday.

Coulson's News Center, a few blocks from the state Capitol, sold the jackpot ticket for Friday's drawing, said Carolyn Hapeman, spokeswoman with the New York Lottery.

The ticket was a Quick Pick.

The winning numbers: 22-24-31-52-54, with the all-important Mega ball of 4, according to the lottery's website.

Final ticket sales raised the annuity value of the jackpot to $319 million, up from $312 million, though the cash value is $202.9 million, Hapeman said.

Four tickets were sold that picked five winning numbers, including one at East Park Smoke Shop, 171 E. Park Ave., Long Beach. Each of those tickets is worth $250,000, lottery officials said.

The others were sold at Quick Stop, 91-03 Corona Ave., Elmhurst; Sant News, 37 Murray St., Manhattan, and Blue Crystal Enterprises, 2152 Fulton St., Brooklyn.

Friday's jackpot was the fifth-largest in the game's history. The largest, $390 million, was in March 2007.

The winner can claim the prize Monday. Lottery offices were closed for the weekend.
