The winning ticket from the Mega Millions lottery jackpot worth $319 million was purchased at a variety store in Albany, a state lottery official said today.
Coulson's News Center, just a few blocks from the state Capitol, sold the jackpot ticket for Friday's drawing, said Carolyn Hapeman, spokeswoman with the New York Lottery. The winning ticket was a Quick Pick, according to the lottery's website.
The winning numbers from Friday's drawing were: 22-24-31-52-54, with a Mega ball of 4, according to the lottery's website.
Final ticket sales raised the annuity value of the jackpot to $319 million, up from $312 million, and a cash value of $202.9 million, Hapeman said.
Friday's jackpot was the fifth-largest in the game's history. The largest, $390 million, was in March 2007.
The winner can claim the prize on Monday. Lottery offices were closed for the weekend.
