Suffolk police issued four tickets to drivers Saturday at a checkpoint on one of the Island's main roadways, authorities said.

The checkpoint is part of the ongoing crackdown on safety violaters after a casino bus crash in March that killed 15 people in the Bronx.

A total of 15 buses and limousines were inspected at a park and ride lot near Exit 49 off the Long Island Expressway in Melville, Suffolk police said.

The tickets were for a variety of violations, and two drivers were put out of service, police said.

The casino bus crash has prompted a federal investigation into what went wrong.
