5th Ave. in Brentwood to close for parade

A portion of Fifth Avenue in Brentwood will be closed Sunday for the Puerto Rican / Hispanic Day Parade.

Fifth Avenue between Spur Drive North and Suffolk Avenue will be closed from 10 a.m. to about 3 p.m. Sunday, Suffolk County police said.

Motorists are advised to use alternate routes.
