Copiague man wounded at his front door in shooting attack, cops say

A Copiague man answering a knock at his front door was shot through the door early Sunday morning in what Suffolk County police said was a targeted attack.
Police said Aaron Goodman, 30, heard a knock at the door of his home on Dixon Avenue just after midnight on Sunday.
As Goodman opened the door, a man fired multiple shots at him, Det. Sgt. James Murphy said. The shots went through the door, which had a glass window, Murphy said.
One of the shots hit Goodman in the abdomen, according to police.
Murphy said the shooting was not a random act, although Goodman reported not knowing the shooter.
Goodman was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip for treatment.
