Accident briefly closes eastbound Sunrise

All eastbound lanes of Sunrise Highway were closed for about an hour early Friday afternoon after a two-car accident at Brentwood Road in Bay Shore, officials said.

There were no serious injuries, but the vehicles were blocking eastbound lanes at Exit 44 between 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m., according to Chief of Staff Michael Sharkey of the Suffolk County Sheriff's Office.
