A Center Moriches man was killed in a single-car crash early Tuesday morning in the hamlet, Suffolk County police said.

Michael Crisci, 38, was driving a 2000 Lincoln southbound on Brookfield Avenue, south of Frowein Road, when the car left the road and struck a mailbox and trees at 7:10 a.m., police said.

Crisci was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner, police said.

The vehicle was impounded for a safety check. Detectives are asking anyone with information about the crash to call the Seventh Squad at 631-852-8752.
