Accident closes Sunrise in Amityville

Suffolk police have closed a portion of Sunrise Highway in Amityville so they can investigate an accident Sunday night.
The westbound lane of Sunrise Highway between Great Neck Road and Bayview Avenue was closed about 8:40 p.m. as police investigate the crash.
No other details were available about the nature of the accident or possible injuries.
