An 18-year-old Huntington Station woman was in critical condition Sunday and three others were injured in an early morning one car crash in Melville, Suffolk County police said.

The victim was identified by police as Alanna McCarthy.

Police said the accident occurred shortly before 1:30 a.m. as McCarthy drove a 2015 Toyota RAV4 north on Sweet Hollow Road, south of Chichester Road when the vehicle went out of control and struck a guardrail, overturning.

McCarthy was taken by a Melville Fire Department ambulance to Nassau County Medical Center in East Meadow.

Police said the three passengers were taken to Huntington Hospital where they were treated for minor injuries and released. No further information on the passengers was available.
