A 21-year-old woman was killed Thursday when police said her car crossed into oncoming traffic, colliding with a minibus in North Amityville.

Suffolk County police said four people were on the minibus owned by Educational Bus — the driver, a matron and two students.

The bus driver, 29, of North Amityville, an adult male matron and a 13-year-old female student on the bus were transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip for treatment of minor injuries, police said. The second student on the bus, a 14-year-old boy, was not injured.

The dead woman was identified by police as Nia Cooper of Amityville.

Police said the Cooper was driving a 2006 Honda Civic north on Albany Avenue when her car crossed the centerline and into oncoming southbound traffic at about 8 a.m., colliding with the minibus.

Additional details were not immediately available and the crash remains under investigation.
