A multicar accident briefly closed two lanes of the westbound Southern State Parkway Monday morning, causing big delays east of Exit 34 in East Farmingdale, officials said.

No one was seriously injured in the crash, State Police said.

But cleanup of the crash, which the New York State Department of Transportation said occurred at 7:04 a.m., forced the closure between Exit 34, New Highway, and Exit 33, Route 109 -- backing up traffic at the height of the morning rush hour. The lanes were closed for about an hour.
