Amanda Dominick, 26, critical after Islip motorcycle crash, Suffolk police say
A motorcyclist was critically injured Sunday afternoon after she collided with a Jeep in Islip, Suffolk County police said.
Amanda Dominick, 26, of Islip, was operating a 2001 Suzuki 750 northbound on Cedar Avenue when she collided with a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee traveling eastbound on Maple Street at 4 p.m., police said in a news release.
Dominick was taken to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore, where she was listed in critical condition, police said. The driver of the Jeep, Timothy Kaye, 34, of Lindenhurst, was not injured, they said.
The vehicles were impounded for a safety check. Third Squad detectives are continuing to investigate. Anyone with information about this crash is asked to call the Third Squad at 631-854-8352.
