Funds from the American Rescue Plan will help make improvements to Lt. Michael P. Murphy Memorial Park in Lake Ronkonkoma. Daniel Murphy, father of Michael Murphy, said improvements at the park include new sidewalks and a small retaining wall to prevent sand from blowing onto a monument honoring the Navy SEAL killed in a 2005 firefight in Afghanistan.
