Amityville man arrested in aspiring rapper's slaying

An Amityville man captured in Pennsylvania and brought back to Suffolk on Thursday has been charged with murder in the shooting and killing of a Wyandanch sanitation worker in front of his home last month.
Police said Torey Warren, 34, shot Desi Kingsberry, 30, once in the head. Kingsberry was found lying in the front yard of his home at 29 State Ave. shortly after 4 a.m. on Sept. 29.
Warren, of 137 Jeatom Lane, is scheduled to be arraigned Friday on a second-degree murder charge before a judge in Suffolk County Court in Riverhead.
Suffolk police, with help from other law enforcement agencies, including U.S. marshals, found Warren in Pocono Pines.
Kingsberry, the third-youngest of 12 siblings, had been a sanitation worker for Babylon for the past eight years and was an aspiring rapper, his sister, Sharlon Kingsberry, 32, had said in an earlier interview.
Performing under the names Dirt Bizzle and Bandanna The Great, Kingsberry had released three "mix tapes" of his music that he sold locally.
She declined to comment on her brother's killing.
