Amityville man seriously injured in crash with car, cops say

A 26-year-old Amityville man was airlifted to the hospital with serious injuries after his motorcycle collided with a car late Tuesday in North Amityville, Suffolk County police said.
Police said Dominique Lawrence was operating his 2014 Kawasaki motorcycle eastbound on Parkway Avenue when he collided with a 1989 Nissan 300ZX that was attempting to make a left turn onto Dunbar Street at 10:13 p.m.
Lawrence was ejected from the bike.
Police said Lawrence was airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital with undisclosed serious injuries. His condition was unknown.
The driver of the Nissan, Alton Manning, 52, of Amityville, was not injured in the crash.
Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks.
Police said the investigation is continuing.
