Amityville Village announces 3 job openings

Amityville Village is hiring for three municipal jobs.

The Department of Public Works laborer job pays $34,442.65 annually for road and other maintenance work. The work may involve using power tools and may require a New York State driver’s license.

The Village Justice Court is hiring a court officer, with pay $18 to $20 per hour. Candidates must be United States citizens and at least 20 years old at time of appointment, with a New York State driver’s license and high school diploma or GED. Candidates will be required to obtain a pistol license and a Peace Officer Training Certificate recognized by the New York State Municipal Police Training Council.

The Fire Department is hiring a paramedic to fill in when the regularly scheduled paramedic is absent. Pay was not immediately available.
