Woman killed in Greenlawn when her car hits tree

A woman driving alone was killed when her car hit a tree on Croley Street in Greenlawn, Suffolk County police said. The impact from the crash also knocked down the tree. The woman was not immediately identified. (Sept. 22, 2013) Credit: James Carbone
A Greenlawn woman was killed early Sunday when her car hit a tree in Greenlawn, Suffolk County police said.
Police said Angela Kulewicz, 22, of Pine Hollow Lane, was trying to make a left turn onto Croley Street from Park Avenue about 4:35 a.m. when she lost control of her 2007 Honda.
Her car hit a fence and a tree, which was knocked down by the impact, police said.
Kulewicz was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. No passengers were in the car.
