One driver was ejected from a Dodge Ram and another extricated from a Tesla that crossed the double yellow lines in Aquebogue Thursday, town police said.

David H. Gordon, 77, was driving west on Main Road when he crossed into the eastbound lane about 11:30 a.m. and hit a Dodge driven by Chris A. Hollborn, 53, Riverhead police said.

Hollborn , of Aquebogue, was ejected and was later airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital, police said. He was in critical condition with head injuries Thursday night, police said.

Gordon, of Mattituck, was taken to the same hospital to be treated for injuries that were not life-threatening, police said.

Riverhead detectives and the New York State Police accident reconstruction unit were dispatched to the scene.

Detectives ask witnesses or anyone with information to call them at 631-727-4500, ext. 321.
