Argyle Lake Park may get public restrooms this summer, Babylon Village Mayor Ralph Scordino said.

"Right now, it's getting such tremendous use with the playground, during weekends there are a lot of pictures taken there, and our concerts are there," he said. "If you have to go to the bathroom, where are you going to go?"

The park, off the village's Main Street, is a favorite spot for wedding photographs because of its scenic waterfall, and summer concerts are held at its bandshell.

Officials hope to install permanent or temporary restrooms before the summer's end but still need to work out details such as "security, making sure they're locked, cleanliness," Scordino said.
