Armed man robs North Babylon bank, say cops
An armed man robbed a bank in North Babylon on Sunday afternoon, Suffolk County police said.
Police said a man wearing a green hooded sweatshirt and a baseball cap went to the TD Bank branch at 1361 Deer Park Ave. at about 2:10 p.m. and gave a teller a note demanding cash while displaying a handgun.
The teller gave the man cash from the drawer, after which the man ran away, heading east on Faulkner Avenue, police said.
Police described the man as 5 feet, 9 inches to 5 feet, 10 inches tall, and between 35 and 45 years old. Police ask anyone with information about this case to contact Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS. Calls will be kept confidential.
