Suffolk County's arson squad is investigating a fire that broke out at a vacant Brentwood home early Tuesday, police said.

Firefighters and police responded to an emergency call for a fire at a home under renovation on the 300 block of Whipple Street, about a block west of Washington Avenue, at about 3 a.m., the spokeswoman said.

The spokeswoman said the home was unoccupied and that minor injuries to two firefighters were reported.

No other information was available, the spokeswoman said.
