Baby-sitting classes offered to students
The Smithtown Youth Bureau is offering a four-week course on baby-sitting.
The class, open to middle school students, will teach skills such as safety, first aid, nutrition and entertaining children.
Mechanical dolls that simulate infant behavior will be used in the classes.
The first class is scheduled for Friday, from 2 to 3:30 p.m., at Exit Realty Achieve, 956 W. Jericho Tpke., Smithtown. Subsequent classes are scheduled for July 22 and 29 and Aug. 5.
Students who finish the course will receive a certificate of completion.
