A Babylon man driving an SUV Thursday evening on the LIE in Manorville was killed when he lost control of the vehicle, struck a bridge and overturned, Suffolk police said.

Matthew Lightsey, 22, was pronounced dead at the scene after the crash about 6:30 p.m. on the westbound Long Island Expressway between exits 69 and 68, according to police.

Lightsey was driving a 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe when he lost control and hit the bridge, police said.

The vehicle was impounded for a safety check. Detectives ask anyone with information to contact the Seventh Squad at 631-852-8752.
