Babylon Village will open its municipal golf course Thursday, with the first tee time at 8 a.m.

The nine-hole, par-3 course costs $11 for village residents and $14 for nonresidents. Seniors play at a discounted rate. The course closes at 5 p.m. Hours will be extended for the summer.

“It’s a great course to work on your short game or start your golf career,” said Deputy Mayor Kevin Muldowney.

The course has holes ranging from 100 to 185 yards, five elevated greens and a pond that comes into play on several holes.

Last year’s best round was a 26 shot in league play by Dan Drance, Muldowney said.

For information on clinics and weekday morning leagues, call the course at 631-669-2340.

The E. Donald Conroy Golf Course is located at 75 Cedar Street.
