Babylon, Ronkonkoma train delays resolved
Service returned to normal on the Ronkonkoma branch of the Long Island Rail Road early Thursday after a train struck a person near Ronkonkoma on Wednesday night, the railroad said.
Meanwhile, on Thursday morning, the Babylon branch was delayed almost 20 minutes because of equipment trouble that canceled the 6:59 a.m. from Massapequa Park to Atlantic Terminal.
The Babylon branch was back on or close to schedule about 7 a.m., with residual delays west of Valley Stream of up to 15 minutes.
Officials did not immediately have more information on the person struck in Ronkonkoma on Wednesday night.
