Babylon teen charged with driving while drug-impaired
A Babylon woman was arrested on charges of driving while impaired by drugs and drug possession after being stopped for speeding early Saturday morning on the Southern State Parkway, state police said.
Rebecca L. Kozlowski, 18, of Babylon was stopped for speeding and other traffic violations while driving westbound near Exit 36, Straight Path, in Lindenhurst at about 1:15 a.m.
An investigation revealed Kozlowski was driving impaired and she also had in her possession small quantities of cocaine and marijuana, police said.
She is charged with driving while her ability was impaired by drugs, possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and other traffic violations, police said. She is scheduled to be arraigned in First District Court in Central Islip.
