Bank teller accused of stealing
A teller at Farmingdale bank faces a grand larceny charge for allegedly stealing more than $9,000 in cash, Nassau County police said Thursday.
Angelina Grayson 23, of 48 Benjoe Dr., Amityville, twice took several thousand dollars from her teller's drawer where she worked at the New York Community Bank on Conklin Street, first on Jan. 10 and again on Jan. 17, detectives from the Crimes Against Property Squad said.
The bank noticed the losses, in excess of $9,000, after routine daily audits of the tellers' cash drawers, a police spokesman said. The spokesman could not say why Grayson allegedly took the money.
She is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday in First District Court in Hempstead.
