DOT: Barnes Road Bridge to be repaired
To allow for bridge repairs, an eastbound lane of Sunrise Highway near Barnes Road Bridge, east of William Floyd Parkway in the Town of Brookhaven, will be closed from 9 p.m. Thursday to 5 a.m. Friday, the state Department of Transportation said.
The closure is weather permitting, the DOT said.
Barnes Road under Sunrise Highway will also be closed at that time, with local residents having access from Montauk Highway, the DOT said.
The repairs are being done to the Barnes Road Bridge, which was damaged May 26 by an over-height truck, the DOT said.
