A 20-year-old Bay Shore man was shot in the face Sunday afternoon by a man with a shotgun, Suffolk County police said.

The victim, whom police did not identify, and four others were in a vehicle at the corner of Prospect Place and Pine Acres Boulevard in Bay Shore when a man walked up to the group and fired a shotgun about 1:25 p.m., police said.

The victim was taken to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore, where he was treated for nonlife-threatening injuries, police said. No arrests have been made.
