A Bayport man was charged with driving while intoxicated after he overturned his car in a series of collisions in Bayport early Sunday, Suffolk County police said.

Police said Eric Alles, 18, was driving a 2008 Toyota on McConnell Avenue about 3 a.m. when he drove across a lawn and hit a dirt mound, a camper and two trees before his car overturned, police said.

Alles was taken to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore for treatment of injuries, police said. He was charged with driving while intoxicated, and will be arraigned at a later date.
