Bayport restaurant fire investigated
Arson Squad detectives are investigating a fire early Friday morning that damaged a French restaurant in Bayport, Suffolk County police said.
Police said the investigation appeared to be routine.
No one was injured in the blaze, which occurred shortly before 2 a.m. at Le Soir on Montauk Highway.
The restaurant was unoccupied at the time of the fire, police and fire officials said.
Fire officials said volunteer firefighters from Bayport, Blue Point and Sayville battled the blaze. Officials said investigators were attempting to determine the cause of the fire.
