Suffolk SPCA: Beheaded roosters found on Centereach street

The Suffolk County SPCA is investigating the disposal of three dead roosters on the southeast corner of Henry Road and Edward Street in Centereach on Tuesday.
The roosters were found beheaded and wrapped in a white plastic bag at approximately 4 p.m., after Suffolk police received a call from a resident.
The roosters had no additional signs of mutilation on their bodies after further examination, according to Suffolk SPCA Chief Roy Gross.
The SPCA is investigating the incident as an act of animal cruelty.
