Bellone speaks in Huntington Station

Babylon Supervisor Steve Bellone, sounding very much like he's running for higher office, told Huntington Station residents Wednesday night he's ready to help the community.
"I have not come across a problem that is not solvable if you work together," he said at a community event attended by about 100 people.
Bellone is the presumed Democratic nominee for Suffolk County executive. He was the featured speaker at a State of the Huntington Station event at a community church.
He told the crowd about his 10-year commitment to revitalize Wyandanch and how he looks forward to helping the Huntington Station community if elected.
Town board members Susan Berland and Glenda Jackson, and members of the sponsor, the newly formed housing-advocacy group Porter-Trejo, were on hand.
The group aims to bring affordable housing to Huntington Station as well as revitalize the area.
