Daniel Cardona, 51, of Bellport, was killed when his Suzuki motorcycle collided with another vehicle in Medford, Suffolk County police said. The crash with a 2007 Chrysler occurred on Horseblock Road, police said. (July 27, 2013) Credit: Stringer News Service

A Bellport man was killed Saturday night when his motorcycle collided with another vehicle in Medford, Suffolk County police said Sunday.

The motorcyclist, Daniel Cardona, 51, was traveling east on Horseblock Road on a 2002 Suzuki shortly before 10:30 p.m. when police said he collided with a westbound 2007 Chrysler that was attempting to turn left.

Cardona was taken to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue, where he was pronounced dead, police said. The driver of the Chrysler, Arthur White, 73, of Medford, was not injured.

Police impounded both vehicles for safety inspections and an investigation. Police ask anyone with information about this case to contact the Sixth Squad at 631-854-8652. Calls will be kept confidential.
