A bicyclist was seriously injured Friday after a car struck him in Hauppauge, Suffolk police said.

The man, 20, was crossing Adams Avenue south of Commerce Drive around 12:19 p.m. when he was hit by a Honda, officials said.

The bicyclist, whose identity was not made public, was taken to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore in critical condition, a Suffolk police spokesman said.

The driver, 49, had a green light, and no charges have been filed, authorities said. Her name was not released.
