Cesar Guevara, bicyclist struck by car in Brentwood, seriously injured, police say
A bicyclist was seriously injured after being struck by a Town Car late Thursday night in Brentwood, Suffolk County police said.
Police said Cesar Guevara, 32, of Brentwood, was riding his bicycle west on Suffolk Avenue when he was struck by a 1998 Lincoln Town Car headed south on Wicks Road at about 9:55 p.m. Guevara was transported to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore for treatment of serious injuries, police said.
The driver of the Lincoln was not injured.
Police said the Town Car was impounded for a safety check.
Third Squad detectives are investigating the accident, and ask anyone with information to call them at 631-854-8352.
