BMW lost to fire in South Huntington Library lot, officials say

Fire destroyed a BMW in the parking lot of the South Huntington Library late Sunday, Huntington Town fire officials said.
The fire at the library on Pidgeon Hill Road in South Huntington was reported at 9:10 p.m.
A town fire department spokesman said firefighters from Huntington Manor responded to the scene with two engines and battled the blaze under the direction of First Assistant Chief Mike DePasquale.
No one was injured in the blaze, but spokesman Steve Silverman said the BMW was “a total loss.”
The cause of the fire was unknown.
