Three men were rescued from the Great South Bay after their boat caught fire Saturday morning, Suffolk County police said.

Police Marine Bureau officers responded to the scene about a mile south of Great River's Timber Point at 9:43 a.m. and found the 2014 Rodman cruiser fully engulfed in flames.

Police said the passengers, David Collins, of East Patchogue; Michael Flemming, of Farmingville; and Inshaw Khan, of Shirley; had already evacuated the boat and were aboard a nearby good Samaritan’s vessel.

The men were transferred to a police boat and were not injured, officials said.
