Two youths were injured after two boats collided Sunday night in Seatuck Cove in Eastport, authorities said.

Coast Guard Petty Officer Steve Strohmaier said one of the boats, a 19-foot Monterey, left afterward to seek medical help for three injured people on board — including a male youth, who had to be airlifted to a hospital.

Eastport Fire Department 1st Lt. John Dalen said the injured youth was flown to Stony Brook University Hospital, while a man and a second male youth were taken to Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead by the Westhampton War Memorial Ambulance Association.

The three patients were transported from a residence on South Bay Avenue, he said.

The boat that remained at the scene, a 26-foot Boston Whaler, had several people on board who were not hurt, Strohmaier said.

Both boats were pleasure crafts.

The collision was reported at 9:55 p.m.

Southampton Town police said they had responded to the scene, but they did not have further information.
