Discovery of woman’s body prompts homicide investigation, cops say

Homicide detectives are investigating after a woman’s body was found in Hauppauge parking lot on Saturday morning, Suffolk County police said.
The woman, identified as Paula Chavez-Quintanilla, 65, of Brentwood, was discovered about 9:10 a.m. outside a Citibank branch at 150 Vanderbilt Motor Parkway, police said.
Chavez-Quintanilla appeared to be the victim of violence, police said in a news release.
She was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.
